Welcome to Red Balloon Pre-School
Red Balloon is a friendly Pre-School based in Tweedmouth West School grounds in Tweedmouth, Berwick upon Tweed.
Opening in 1994 we have over 29 years in providing high quality care and education for children below the statutory school age. We pride ourselves on offering a safe environment where children can learn and develop but also continue to have fun in their valuable pre-school years.
We aim to ensure that each child:
• Is in a safe and stimulating environment
• Is given generous care and attention, because of our high ratio of qualified staff to children
• Is helped to take forward his/her learning and development by being helped to build on what he/she already knows and can do
• Together with their parents are offered a service that promotes equality and values diversity
Parents are regarded as members of our setting who have full participatory rights to be valued, informed and consulted at all levels..
Our mission:
To meet the needs of the children who attend the setting, particularly those that arise from their ethnic heritage; social and economic background; and gender ability or disability. Promoting equality of opportunity and valuing diversity for all children and families.
Following the latest OFSTED inspection in September 2023 we were rocked that Red Balloon Pre School received an overall Inadequate rating, but got a Good for the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes of the early years provision we provide.
